Tesla's New Roadster Drove Upside Down and Kickflipped Over a Semi — Here's the Engineering Behind the Stunt

A car drove upside down this week. Not in a movie. Not CGI. A real, physical Tesla Roadster climbed a curved ramp, stuck itself to the surface while completely inverted, launched into the air, did a kickflip, and sailed over five parked Teslas and a Semi truck before landing. Fifty-four million people watched it happen in less than a day. Tesla unveiled its long-delayed new Roadster on October 15 at SpaceX's rocket testing facility in McGregor, Texas — and instead of a normal car launch, Elon Musk threw a stunt show. "Flying cars are real," he declared, nearly nine years after Tesla first showed the second-generation Roadster concept. So how did it actually work? And how much of it was engineering versus showmanship? Let's break it down. It was the part where the Roadster climbed the wall of a half-pipe ramp and just......

Jaguar Type 01: The $130,500 Electric GT That Has to Save Jaguar

Jaguar Is Back — And This Time, It Has a Car to Show for It Two years ago, Jaguar did something almost no car company had ever dared to do: it relaunched itself with an advert that contained no car at all. The November 2024 "Copy Nothing" campaign showed brightly dressed models, bold colours and a new logo — and set the internet alight, mostly in anger. Fans asked where the Jaguars had gone. Critics asked whether the brand had lost its mind. Jaguar, meanwhile, quietly stopped selling new cars in the UK and went dark. On October 6, 2026, in New York, the answer finally arrived. It is called the Type 01 — pronounced "Zero One" — and it is the most important Jaguar in decades. Not because it is the fastest or the most powerful Jaguar ever built (although it is both of those things), but because it is the car the entire rebrand was supposed to be about. If the Type 01 fails, there is no second act. If it succeeds, Jaguar gets to be Jaguar again — just a very different...

SpaceX and Tesla Boards Open Formal Merger Talks — Inside the $3.5 Trillion Question

The moment everyone's been speculating about just became official — sort of For months, the idea of Tesla and SpaceX merging has lived in that blurry zone between analyst chatter and internet fan-fiction. On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, it moved out of that zone. Elon Musk confirmed on SpaceX's third-quarter earnings call that the boards of both companies have each formed special committees of independent directors to formally review a possible merger. Let me be straight with you about what that does and doesn't mean: no merger has been announced, no terms exist, and no deal has been approved. What has happened is the first formal, board-level step toward one. And that matters, because this would be the biggest corporate combination in history — roughly $3.5 trillion in combined market value, based on Tuesday's closing prices. What actually happened on the earnings call The disclosure came in response to a question from Deutsche Bank analyst Edison Yu during SpaceX...
